The genital area, including the surrounding skin is very delicate and can easily be damaged. There are a number of ways to protect and look after your genital skin ā find out more below.
Do use plain water or an emollient to wash your genitals. Whilst water is fine to use alone, we recommend washing with an emollient such as aqueous cream, diprobase or double base. These are available from a pharmacy or supermarket (and online) and are very cost effective. You can apply the emollient like a cream to your genital skin before getting in the bath or shower, this will act like a barrier to other soaps and shampoos you might use. Rinse the area well when you are finished washing. Emollients are safe for daily use. If you have dry genital skin apply some before bed every night. Do allow fresh air to get to your genital skin! During the winter months, our genitals rarely get a chance to breathe due to us wearing multiple layers to keep warm! And in the summer, our genitals can get hot and sweaty, due to the temperature outside! When you can, e.g. when youāre at home in the evening watching TV and when you are sleeping ā try to go underwear free! A loose fitting pair of pyjama bottoms works well, to cover your modesty but allows some air flow to get to the area. Do wear cotton (or cotton gusset) underwear. Cotton material allows our skin to breathe, whereas manmade fibres donāt and can make your skin hot, causing irritation. You should preferably use a non-biological washing powder/liquid to wash your underwear
An air traveler recently captured on video multiple moments when a fellow passenger reached across her seat to take photos of the sky.
Fanny Gagnon OāDonnell was traveling on a flight from Spain to Germany where she was seated in the window seat.
She told Storyful that her travel experience was going well until the person sitting next to her proceeded to cross into her space for the entirety of the flight.

In the video, Gagnon OāDonnell can be seen sitting calmly as the other passenger reaches across her seat space.
Gagnon OāDonnell explained that she thought it was ācuteā onbut became annoyed as it continued to happen three to four more times before she closed the window abruptly.
That, however, did not deter the flight neighbor, Gagnon OāDonnell said.
From there, Gagnon OāDonnell said her seat neighbor would tap her on the shoulder and ask her to reopen the window throughoutĀ to take more pictures.

One user wrote, āMy anger issues could never.ā
Another said, āIt happened to me a month ago when I was flying from Madrid to Paris and the girl did it like 3-4 times. I closed it, put Ā [in] and ignored her.ā
Others, however, said maybe it was the passengerās
āItās not that bad. Just let him take a pic. Heās excited [and] itās cute,ā one TikTok user commented.

Rosalinda Randall, a California-based etiquette expert and trainer, told Fox News Digital via email that sitting in the window seat can have its perks.
āYou have something to lean against which is comfortable for sleeping as well as not being squished by the bulkier middle seat passenger. It also makes you in charge of the window shade, which does require courtesy and consideration,ā she said.
Randall said she gives Gagnon OāDonnell āpropsā for her attitude toward the intrusive passenger.
āI agree with her initial decision of allowing the photographer to shoot his videos a few times throughout the flight,ā she said, adding, āWhile he may not have picked up on it, or chosen to ignore it, there are some social cues that she could have applied.ā

Randall said the window seat passenger could have āexaggerated a lean-backā or āleaned forward to look out the window herself.ā
She said Gagnon OāDonnell could have also lowered the window shade half-way or offered to take the photos forĀ hing to the intrusive passenger, such as, āExcuse me, itās a bit disturbing when you continue reach over.ā Or, āGo ahead and take a few photos, but then Iād like to be able to relax.ā
She added, āNaturally, we cannot anticipate anyoneās reaction. But having civilly and clearly expressed our request without compliance, itās time to call for assistance.ā
